I find myself in America for some real moments in history. The Cubs winning the World Series after 108 years and then a man who displays egotistical, offensive and petulant behaviours and an unfortunate tanning choice resembling an oompah lumpa is elected as president.
I work with a team of wonderful Americans and I can tell you that this evening there have been tears, frustrations and genuine fear.
Finding the positive in the situation – this may be a strange new beginning, but one can only hope it is a stepping stone on a fast paced leap, to a good. A goodness that perhaps we are yet to understand or comprehend, yet nevertheless is still to come.
